Why the test is meaningful
Conditioning an ANF on membership of x3 partitions nonlinear support without changing semantics. This exposes whether one source direction is disproportionately responsible for the overlap pattern while avoiding a new fitted predictor.

Partition the complete V32 map into x3-containing and non-x3 terms, attribute each output term to a5[2], a5[13] or a5[22], and repeat the fixed analysis on 1,361 original and 300 fresh records.
What happened
All semantic checks passed. The atlas identified which x3-bearing components contributed to the observed suppression, but the final review did not promote a standalone selector or mining claim. Survivor counts were 545 original and 111 fresh, with 816 and 189 non-survivors.
Exactness and statistical controls
The partition covers every nonlinear term exactly once and reconstructs the same output truth masks. Directional comparisons were repeated on the fresh cohort; the report keeps attribution distinct from causation or prediction.
What the result means
V33 narrows the mechanism to a source-variable branch, providing a better next experiment. It does not establish that x3 can be chosen independently or cheaply in a Bitcoin mining job.
Limitations
- Source-variable labels are local cube coordinates, not independently controllable global knobs.
- Attribution is not an online selection rule.
- Runtime and hardware costs remain unmeasured.
Evidence trail
Regenerate the V32 ANFs, partition support by x3 membership, verify exact recomposition and rerun the identical group summaries on the fresh cohort.
